Behind the mask there is a crown. I love this version of Frankie. This is the one I think ofย most often.

Artists Monument by Tony Tasset
So there’s this art piece over by the right above the Super Pier but below the Chelsea Piers – where those picnic tables are…right? Anyway it’s called “Artists Monument” by Tony Tasset and it’s a list of modern and contemporary artists so I’m scanning, scanning scanning, and I see my name there!

Thank You Peter Daverington
What used to be Sergio’s Pizza and back in the day was The Barbary Coast Bar has been boarded up and is being turned into something else. Thanks to Peter Daverington our block has a groovy mural to look at before the unveiling of what we can only hope is not another bank or franchise store. ( If it’s a 7/11 I’m going to write a letter. )
And no tags on it! Even the writers respect a good painting.

I never OK’d this. Nobody contacted me for research during pre pro. I never saw the book, I never attended any readings or improvs during the build on this show. I never even got an email about this show, and you know what? That hurts.
I don’t know about the new views.

Question: Is this the only bed side lamp on the street? I like this trend. Inside out. Assorted pillows around the park…I like that. Park Pillows.

TURNING – By Charles Atlas
The US premiere of Charles Atlas & Antonyโs’ TURNING film documentary will take place November 11th as part of DOC NYC at the SVA Theater in New York City. The film will then have a week-long run at IFC Cinema from November 16th – 22nd.
TURNING captures Antony and the Johnsons in concert collaborating with the filmmaker Charles Atlas (THE LEGEND OF LEIGH BOWERY), celebrating 13 women taking the stage who, like Antony himself, are not easily categorized personas. Whether they are androgynous, transgender, covered in makeup or bare-skinned, what is important is their hard-won humanity, amplified by the transcendent power of Antony’s music. The film takes the viewer into the world of Antony and the Johnsons as they tour their astonishing live concert/performance work, “Turning.”ย At its center are a series of intimate interviews with the women who performed this extraordinary show with Antony. Their stories combine with Antony’s mesmerizingly emotional songs to create a powerful journey of struggle and hope.
