Hey, they can’t all be masterpieces. A DJ needs segues…right?
Thanks to the senders of the many emails regarding Boney M. I am merely a fan providing the magic that they alone have created (eyes down.) As for posting the “big hits” – relax kids. I’ll get there. The point is, they are more than just Ma Baker and Rasputin.
Respect to Frank Farian and all those crazy Germans that played this stuff.
Now…have you heard the 12″ of Bahama Mama? Now you have.
One of my personal favorites of the Boney M MAXI singles is this very extended piece of disco fun. Incidental percussion provides detail to disco. Don’t you think so? Discuss. When they are well played they literally flavor the sound. Latin incidental percussion? – my favorite flavor! (as many of my friends will tell you.) This mix features some really amazing timbale riffs and the ultra “high-waisted” sound of disco castanets. ¡Cielo!

Nami nifanyeje, kijana mwenzio
and I, what should I do, your young friend
Nashindwa na mali sina, we,
I am defeated by the bride price that I don’t have
Ningekuoa Malaika
 I would marry you, angel

Little bird, I think of you little bird

Meet me on the moon very very soon
Meet me on the stars Jupiter and Mars
Fly me to a star
Burning out in space shining on my face
Fly me through the night on your Silver Wings
Over crystal seas Valleys of the Kings
By the lilac shore where the dragon flies
In the diamond skies
Silly Silly Confusion
And tangle of wild illusion
We’re living in a wonderworld of fantasy
We spent all our times in sweet living dreams
It’s a Silly Silly Confusion
Like a flower of wild profusion
You can do the things in life
You always wanted to
Within your heart you know it always will come through
Take me for a ride in your Dream-Machine
To a time and place where no one has been
Let me look upon worlds I’ve never seen
In your Dream-Machine
Fly me to a star burning out in space
Let me feel the light shining on my face
Sail on solar winds sail on silver birds
Through the universe
Silly Silly Confusion…
It’s a Silly Silly Confusion…
Silly Silly Confusion…
It’s a Silly Silly Confusion…
Silly Silly Confusion
Silly Silly Confusion
This might be a good mix with Ru-Paul’s Peanut Butter….

“Love Don’t Pay The Rent” by Mone’ – The Scott Wozniak Remix ( I added the Garland)
Are you familiar with Mone’?
Well, have you ever heard of Judy Garland?
No? – doesn’t matter – let’s dance.
This time from Loop7, “The Theme” (The Legend) is a classy house classic. The tempo change is one of the most successful in dance music production, says I. (The tempo decreases but you keep dancing, then suddenly you’re back to where you started!) overthinking it…just dance
