What HS says about free speech being used to demean, denigrate any group of people is actually a perversion of the concept. That’s called calumny & it’s illegal in many democracies. Free speech means the freedom to express yourself on any level but libel & slander are the limits to anyone’s expression. However, people just say I don’t agree with so and so but I’ll defend his or her right to express themselves. Wrong! Even in the USA spewing hate or inciting hysteria is not what freedom of speech is about & yet it goes unpunished. I don’t support any of expression of hate, scapegoating of any group which undermines the true spirit of free speech!
